At Harmony Strategies Group, our work centers on empowering leadership, individuals, and organizations through services like conflict coaching, Ombuds Services, and strategic facilitation. What sets Harmony Strategies apart isn’t just the range of offerings, but how they’re delivered: with collaboration, clarity, and an intentional focus on human-centered impact.
Since starting my work with Harmony Strategies, I’ve seen firsthand how those values show up in our day-to-day internal systems. When an unexpected event created a sudden opportunity to reach more people with our services, the team quickly came together, aligned on a plan that respected everyone’s time, and delivered timely, meaningful support. Every voice was heard, and the final outcome reflected our shared commitment to purpose and responsiveness. That moment reshaped how I think about leadership. Before working with Harmony Strategies, I associated leadership mostly with giving instructions and making decisions. But through my experience at Harmony Strategies, I’ve come to understand leadership as something more facilitative and collaborative. Influential leaders listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and create space for people to show up fully. Leadership is less about authority and more about presence and responsiveness. As such, everyone has opportunities to shine as a leader, to have a voice in critical decisions, and to inform next steps in business growth.
My understanding of effective teamwork has also changed. It’s not just about dividing tasks; effective team dynamics mean synergy, as one person’s work builds naturally on another’s. Brainstorming sessions need to be real dialogues, where feedback is welcomed and encouraged. At Harmony Strategies, whether we are reviewing a new marketing opportunity, shaping a communications strategy, or launching a new service, the process is truly collective. Sometimes, the collective nature means pausing to consider different perspectives or approaches, before taking action. This means taking more time but critically considering important factors, like when, why, and how our initiative needs to move forward, to maximize the impact.
One of the most meaningful services that Harmony Strategies offers is coaching – particularly executive and conflict coaching. Most people think coaching means giving people advice or providing solutions to their problems. In contrast, Harmony Strategies coaching is about guiding people to uncover their own insights, skills, and opportunities. In the context of conflict, coaching becomes a powerful tool to surface misunderstandings, foster reflection, and support resolution. Here, coaching includes review of timing, tone, and the level of party openness to resolution and rebuilding trust. Conflict coaching is less about driving solutions and more about transformation, innovation, and breakthroughs.
These lessons have changed how I communicate and collaborate both personally and professionally. Whether I’m analyzing data, writing social media content, or participating in meetings, I now approach each task with more awareness and intention. I’ve learned to pause before reacting, to ask better questions, and to see feedback as a tool for growth rather than criticism. My team has challenged me, invited me to grow into being a fuller version of myself and embracing new and innovative paths forward.
At Harmony Strategies, projects aren’t just about outcomes—they’re rooted in connection, learning, and collective impact. We focus on working as a team, growing together, and enriching each other with different perspectives, skills, and approaches to the work. I’ve grown more confident in my abilities and clearer in my understanding of what it means to be part of a strong, values-driven team.
What’s unique about Harmony Strategies is that we not only support clients with these skills and tools, we operate internally based on the same principles. I am a valuable member of the team, whether I’m new or experienced, whether I am a speaker or a listener at meetings, and regardless of my status or specific role. All team members are encouraged to share input, and we likewise cheer each other on with our successes and provide support whenever we sense that a colleague needs it.
