Managers and Leaders often fall short when they are promoted from task-accomplishment jobs to a team-management position. This is largely due to three main skill deficits: lack of poise, intentionality, and influence. This workshop introduces these skills and invites both emerging and established leaders into deeper appreciation for why and how they affect team productivity and success. This program can serve as both an introduction or refresher, as participants actively engage and enrich their tools and skills.
The workshop begins with definitions of these key skills and invites participants into lively discussion and self-reflection on their own strengths and weaknesses around them. We consider barriers to embracing these skills, including the interplay between power, identity, and emotions as leaders.
In this program, workshop participants will:
- Define and understand the key terms: poise, intentionality, and influence
- Recognize how they affect team members and staff
- Identify emotional and practical barriers to manifestation and application
- Create an Action-Plan for leadership that fully embraces the skills
As with all Harmony Strategies workshops, this training is highly interactive, generative of ideas and insights, and fosters a collaborative framework for successful implementation.
